“Touching one life at a time”
The driving force for starting Legacy Senior Assisted Care is my passion for taking care of others. I have worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years, therefore I understand what it takes, to not only show compassion while working with residents but also with their loved ones. When my father was diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), I stopped working to assist my mother to take care of him. I know what it is like to worry about a loved one and wanting to care for them in the best way possible. From my personal experience, I know it takes time, patience, compassion, and understanding.
I have the heart for the business and the skills and experience to provide the care that is desired and deserved. Every resident will be treated with proper care, love, and respect. People thrive in environments where they feel they belong. I have taken special care in every aspect of my home to ensure our residents feel safe and at home and receive quality services.
Our home provides the comforts of home while focusing on our resident’s needs: professional care from a registered nurse, medication assistance, housekeeping, laundry services, healthy nutritious meals and snacks, companionship, recreational activities, and social planning.
“Warm Compassionate Care for you”
Our mission is to touch one person at a time by ensuring quality care for their physical, mental, spiritual, and social needs through a holistic approach. We value wellness and wholeness.
I believe seniors can live better than ever if they are loved and cared for properly. I understand from working as an administrator, in healthcare facilities, that everyone has their own specific needs. We offer individualized care plans to meet the needs of the individual. I have always taken the hands-on approach to learn the needs of my residents by observing, asking questions, listening, and involving family love and interaction.
“Honoring your Independence”
Our residential home provides the warmth and comfort of being right at home while receiving assistance with your activities of daily living. It is important to us that while caring for our residents we respect and honor their independence. We offer person centered care that meets your personal needs. By communicating with our residents and developing a level of care, this allows us to meet individualized needs.
We want our residents to feel compassion while providing care and assistance with activities of daily living to include bathing, dressing, transferring, walking, eating, and toileting. With our home being smaller than a facility our staff can give personal attention and give our residents freedom to choose the activities they would like to do.
We prepare home cooked meals and adjust our meals to the dietary limitations for those who require it. Housekeeping and laundry are taken care. We have caring dedicated staff 24-hour a day along with emergency assistance. We have a registered nurse available along with certified care givers to provide medication administration. What a blessing it is to be able to provide the warmth, respect, compassion, and care our residents.
“Person Centered Care”
Elderly care, or simply eldercare (also known as aged care), is the fulfillment of the special needs and requirements that are unique to senior citizens. This broad term encompasses such services as assisted living, adult day care, long-term care, nursing homes, hospice care, and home care.
Because of the wide variety of elderly care found nationally, as well as differentiating regional perspectives on elderly citizens, it cannot be limited to any single practice.
